Our History

The History of Hal Homes

Hal Silverman, President, established Hal Homes, Inc. in 1977 as a residential builder/developer when the company built its first home in Fairfield, Ohio. Over the next several years, Hal Homes not only continued to build in existing subdivisions, but also began to develop its own communities from the ground up. Eventually, Hal Homes began to exclusively develop communities, while acting as the sole builder in those communities. The philosophy of being a “full-service” developer is one that Hal Silverman applied to Silverman and Company, Inc. when it was first founded in late 1985. Since 1985, Silverman and Company and Hal Homes, Inc. have operated simultaneously, developing retail & office properties as well as residential developments, respectively. In 1996, Mr. Silverman was named Blue Ash Business Person of the Year and in 2001, The Blue Ash/Montgomery Rotary Club honored Mr. Silverman as Entrepreneur of the Year.
